A Long Walk Home’s Salamishah Tillet and Scheherazade Tillet, are featured in Jane Kramer’s profile, “Road Warrior: Gloria Steinem’s Life on the Feminist Frontier” in this week’s The New Yorker magazine.   Their work is highlighted as part of a new cohort of feminist organizers, including playwright Sarah Jones, director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance’s director Ai-jen Poo, and NoVo Foundation’s executive director Pamela Shifman who “came of age during the eighties and nineties and are known in the movement as ‘third wave’ feminists.” Read the full article.
